The tile is done in Aidan’s new bathroom!! It’s beautiful and we love the colors. The lighting and heat lamp are in as well. The plumber will be here friday to install the toilet and sink.
Meanwhile, at the front of the house…. Garreth spent Sunday shoveling our driveway and yard to clear a space for a big lumber delivery.
The flooring went up, which looked ridiculously like….
a stage just begging for someone to grab a microphone and start singing karaoke! Would you believe me if I said that was my twin sister?
Then the walls went up.
Up Next:
Obviously we are so excited about the progress and yes, this is a community led construction project that is right on track. There are three gifts in the upcoming schedule. First, the demo for the next part of the project will be completed while Aidan is in the hospital. Second, Aidan will be tucked away at home recovering while the new mudroom is being done so we don’t have to get creative in trying to get him in and out of the house. Third, a team of college students is giving up some of their Spring Break time to deep clean the house after demo. There’s a layer of sheetrock dust on every surface in the house.
Here’s the other gift – Garreth and I are about to hunker down and focus on Aidan’s recovery. He’s having double hip surgery next tuesday. We are so grateful to have such confidence in the building team. We know that decisions are being made in our best interest and people have been incredibly respectful of our medical journey.
